You should be able to load the plugin into an OSMF 2.0 player. After doing some quick testing it looks like it will play RTMP and Akamai HDN 1 streams. HDS streams have an issue however. The 2.8 release of the plugin will support OSMF 2.0. Should be sometime in late May or early June.

I'm wondering if this is why I can't load the Akamai Advanced Plugin?

The url I'm using for the plugin is http://players.edgesuite.net/flash/plugins/osmf/advanced-streaming-plugin/v2.6.8/osmf1.6/AkamaiAdvancedStreamingPlugin.swf

OSMF version is 2.0

Or maybe it's because the Akamai Advanced Plugin is 1.6? If so, that's kind of a bummer- since there seems to be no info about a 2.0 plugin at http://mediapm.edgesuite.net/akamai-osmf-plugins/samples/index.html

Help is appreciated!

Comment on iPad AirPlay Mirroring not working with Apple TV / Apple TV won’t update by Mark

Thanks very much for this post. I was faced with a deadline using two Apple TVs for a theatrical production--the second acquired/added after the first worked so well. I had checked for a software update when I set it up, but the unit claimed none was needed. Sure enough, the second refused to present the mirroring option, as describe above. Reading your post, I ran out, paid too much for the ridiculous mini to micro adaptor at RS ($15), and updated via iTunes.

A couple of notes to supplement/clarify above. First, don't re-plug the power cord to the ATV--the unit will be powered over USB. Second, it's the "Restore" button. For whatever reason, this afternoon, the ATV server was not available; but it was tonight and I downloaded and restored version 4.2.2 (build 3160).

All good with mirroring now!

Thanks again.

You can initialize the array with zero's to make it start charting all the way to the right instead of the current behavior. Looks much better that way.
